Family Counseling

What happens during the first session?: You go through the situation in general terms, what you would like support with and how a continued arrangement could look. Nobody is expected to share more than they want to.
Can I attend alone?: Yes. Individual support is possible even when the question concerns a relationship or a family.
Does my partner have to participate?: No. Couple counseling requires both to participate voluntarily, but individual support is always an alternative.
Can sessions be online?: Yes, online sessions are available. In-person sessions may be possible by agreement.
Which languages are available?: Swedish, English and Dari/Persian.
How long is a session?: Usually 30, 45 or 60 minutes depending on the service. See the pricing page.
Can I book the free 15-minute initial contact?: Yes. Send a booking request and choose the free initial contact.
How many sessions will I need?: This varies from person to person and cannot be promised in advance. The arrangement is planned together.
How is my information handled?: Only the details needed for contact and administration are collected. Detailed personal matters are discussed in the session, not in web forms.
How do I pay?: Payment instructions are provided when the booking is confirmed. See the pricing page for possible payment methods.
Can insurance or my employer pay?: Sometimes the cost may be fully or partly reimbursed. Conditions vary, so check with your insurer or employer.

Can a municipality book a pilot program?: Yes. Pilot programs, individual workshops or complete programs can be agreed.
Can the program be adapted to our target group?: Yes. Content, language and format are adapted in dialogue with the purchaser.
Which languages can Oxiana work in?: Swedish, English and Dari/Persian.
Can Oxiana provide staff workshops?: Yes, workshops for professional teams can be agreed.
Can we request a proposal?: Yes. Send an inquiry and we will reply with a proposal.
Can programs be evaluated?: Yes. Pre/post evaluation, follow-up and a summary can be included where agreed.
Can education be combined with multilingual materials?: Yes. Education can be combined with material in Swedish, English and Dari/Persian.
